MAMM Slam 2011

The Maine Academy of Modern Music is proud to announce that this year’s Maine Rock Off battle of the bands is now known as the MAMM SLAM. The Academy is excited to again sponsor a high school rock off and to give it a new spin and a new name. The MAMM SLAM is be an important step in the education and development of high school bands throughout Maine. The competition nurtures bands with instruction and feedback on all the aspects of being a professional band, from songwriting and performance to marketing and audience development. And most of all, it's a lot of fun. Here are all the bands that played: Midnight Haze, The Twisted Truth, Crossed Out, The Modest Proposal, Finding Perfection, Dusty Grooves, and special guests Sparks the Rescue. Congratulations to The Modest Proposal for winning, and to everyone else for being awesome.
