48 Hour Music Festival 2013
A group of adventurous artists from different Portland bands of all genres agreed to step out of their comfort zones and were randomly shuffled into six supergroups. No members of these newly formed bands are allowed to have previous musical history with one another. From there, each band were given exactly 48 hours to construct and practice a 25 minute set of material, culminating in the Saturday night performance.
This year featured members of Endless Jags, Mouth Washington, Contrpossto, Sunset Hearts, ex-Whip Hands, Rural Ghosts, Forget Forget, and more.
The new bands were: Carl Sagan presents: The Body in the Kelp, Citizen Science, U-Boat, Bumpin' Uglies, Diehardia, and Familiar Ritual.
